Paultons Park

Paultons Family Theme Park is located in the village of Ower, in Hampshire, England. I visited Paultons Park last summer with my family and overall it was a good experience. That’s why I decided to write this post. I will give you my honest opinion about what I liked and what did not appreciate that much. I hope you like it!

Paultons Park has three different lands: Lost Kingdom, Peppa Pig World and Critter Creek. If you like dinosaurs, then Lost Kingdom will be your favourite! Some of the most popular rides in this land include Flight Of The Pterosaur, Velociraptor, Dino Chase and Magma.

Flight Of Pterosaur is a suspended coaster with speeds of up to 55km/h. My siblings loved this rollercoaster and it was actually the most popular one as there was always so many people lining up and waiting for their turn.

Velociraptor is another rollercoaster, but it has an interesting characteristic that differentiates it from the last one I wrote about. At first, is a normal ride but then you can experience the ride in reverse.

Dino Chase is a rollercoaster for kids. Perfect not only for the little ones but also for people like me who are terrified to ride adult roller coasters. I feel no shame for admitting this ahahah.

Magma is a volcanic theme ride which goes up and down. When the ride moves up out of the volcano, smoke is released and you can also hear rumbling sound effects.

The Dinosaur Tour Co. is a family jeep expedition where you can see animatronic dinosaurs.

Other rides and attractions included in this land are Boulder Dash and Temple Heights.

Peppa Pig World is a land dedicated to kids who enjoy this animated series.  If you also want to buy merchandise, there is a Peppa Pig shop which is actually the largest in the world.

Here are some pictures of the attractions and rides in this land:

Critter Creek is another land in which the main theme is exotic creatures and colourful plants.  Some of the attractions and rides are:

Outside of these lands, there are more rides that I think are worth to talk about. I will not mention all of them, just the ones that are more popular.

Edge is a disk that keeps spinning the whole time while it reaches a height of 15 metres.

Cobra is a family roller coaster with a lot of humps and spirals.

4D Cinema was probably my favourite thing from the whole Park. Sammy & Ray is the film they always show. It was a great experience and I highly recommend you visit it if you go to this Park.

The River Ride two steep drops so be prepared for a splash of water. It is actually a good ride for the hot days.

Even though, there are so many rides and attractions for you to choose I was disappointed that some of the rides I wanted to try, I had to pay separately. When you buy the entry tickets you can ride any attraction as many times as you want, there is not a limit. However, some attractions such as 2-seater go-karts are not included in the entry tickets. Thankfully, it’s just a few attractions that are not included. Otherwise, I would be really mad.

As for the prices of the tickets, I have to admit that it is a bit expensive. My family had to pay over £100 if I’m not wrong (we are five people). Also, if you decide not to bring food with you, you have plenty of restaurants to choose from in the Park. However, the one I ate in, was not that good and it was expensive.

Here is the link to Paultons Park website. Here, you will find more information about the ticket prices, time openings, attractions & rides, amongst other aspects.

In conclusion, it is a great Park and I love how there is something for everyone to try it out. You will not be left out if you don’t like roller coasters because you can ride something else. Be prepared to walk a lot if you decide to see the whole Park and enjoy! I had an incredible time and I bet you will too!

What do you think about this Theme Park? Have you ever visited it? If not, would you ever visit it?

I hope you have a lovely day!

  1. Wow, this post is really a blast from the past. I used to go here a lot when I was younger. Great photos, they were really making me feel nostalgic. When I used to go we would dig for gold but I don't know if that attraction is still open.

Honestly, I’m not sure if that attraction is still open. Maybe it is, and I didn’t even notice because there is such a wide variety of attractions. I feel like one day is not enough to enjoy everything hahaha
