Places to visit in Portsmouth

Portsmouth is a port city in the county of Hampshire and it’s located on the south coast of England. Portsmouth has a total population of 205,400, making it the most densely populated city in the United Kingdom.

Last year, I had the opportunity to visit Portsmouth with my family and I had so much fun. Therefore, I decided to share with you the places I’ve visited. Because it was a one-day trip I could not see everything that Portsmouth has to offer. However, next time I visit this beautiful city, I’ll update the list of places you should check out.

Cascades Shopping Centre (Postcode: PO1 4RL)
Located at the heart of Portsmouth City Centre, Cascades Shopping Centre is home to nearly
60 stores. This Shopping Centre was first opened in 1989. Some of the stores include: Primark, The Body Shop, Ernest Jones, amongst others. For more information, check out the official website.

Spinnaker Tower (Postcode: PO1 3TT)
Spinnaker Tower is a 560-foot (170 m) landmark observation tower in Portsmouth. It was first opened in 2005. I’ve heard it gives you an incredible view across Portsmouth harbour. If you want to know more about opening times, ticket prices or any other sort of information, click here.

 Gunwharf Quays (Postcode: PO1 3TZ)
Home to over 90 stores, Gunwharf Quays is a modern shopping centre and bigger compared to Cascades Shopping Centre. This Shopping Centre has a cinema and popular stores such as: Superdry, Ted Baker, Guess, Cath Kidston, Nando’s, Burger King, Wagamama, amongst others. Check out the website for more information.

Southsea Rose Garden (Postcode: PO4 9RG)
Southsea Rose Garden is a rose garden which contains over 40 varieties. It’s a really colourful garden and I highly recommend you to visit it if you are in Portsmouth. The garden also has a Canoe Lake and a Café.

In conclusion, I had a lovely day in Portsmouth. If you live in England or if you are on holidays, I highly recommend you visit this stunning city. I am, in fact, grateful to be able to able to visit new places in this beautiful country. There is nothing better than travelling and learning new things which can makes us more open-minded.

What do you think about Portsmouth?
I hope you have a lovely day! (:
