Today I decided that I wanted to write about 5 Seconds of Summer. Now, if you had told me months ago that I would be writing an article about them, I don't know If I would believe it. Let me tell you the reason. 5 Seconds of Summer was my absolute favourite band in a very long period of my teenage years. Well, I am 19 years old now, It was not that long ago, but you get the idea... When I was around fifteen years old Jesika and another friend of ours told me about this music that was being very successful: She Looks So Perfect. I remember that this friend of ours had a huge crush on Luke, it was hilarious. Honestly, I listened to the music, I liked it, but I wasn't curious to check out more of the band. However, I have this tendency sometimes to only enter a "phase" when my friends already moved on, and this was one of the cases. Weeks or even months went by (I can't tell for sure), and I don't even know how, but an immense will to know more about 5 Seconds of Summer suddenly emerged to me.
When I say that my 5 Seconds of Summer phase was tremendous, I am not lying, but, I assure you that it was healthy: without exaggerations. I truly enjoyed listening regularly to their music. Additionally, I remember seeing a lot of their interviews. I especially liked the funny videos that fans made about them, that showed hilarious moments of the group. I will inform you in advance that they have quite unique personalities... Anyways, they use to made me laugh a lot, even on the worst days they were able to put a smile on my face.
Nevertheless, afterwards, from a moment to another, I stopped following their work, without explanation. Maybe it was the School responsibilities getting more intense, or other interests that showed up, but it was very sudden. I've never seen, read, or heard anything from them ... until very recently!
5 Seconds of Summer (or 5SOS) is a band from Australia, integrated by Ashton Irwin, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood and Luke Hemmings. They started their path as musicians in 2011-2012, posting covers of popular songs on YouTube, attracting wide attention (of course, they are very talented). Later, on February 2013, it was announced that they would take part on the Take Me Home Tour by One Direction. One year later, they made their major debut with She Looks So Perfect, that reached incredible results. Furthermore, 5 Seconds of Summer has three albums: 5 Seconds of Summer (2014), Sounds Good Feels Good (2015) and, the most recent one, Youngblood (2018).
A few months ago, the band released Want You Back. I listened to the music, but I didn't look for more. It was only a few weeks ago that my interest in 5 Seconds of Summer suddenly came back, when I watched an interview with them and, following that, a video from their tour on their YouTube channel. Then I listened to their new album - Youngblood - and we can say that I am impressed. The album is awesome, I seriously like every single music. In fact, I have been listening to their new songs on repeat.
5 Seconds of Summer has very excellent music. With this said, let me share with you some of my favourite songs of Ashton, Michael, Calum and Luke:

To sum up,
I am glad that I came across that interview of 5 Seconds of Summer a few weeks
ago. Youngblood is an amazing album,
and listening to 5SOS new songs made me remember how much I enjoyed listening
to them before, and how I liked them as a group in general. Sometimes we lose
interest in something and move on to other things, that’s humans’ nature, but I
am happy that my interest in 5 Seconds of Summer music came back. Ashton,
Michael, Calum and Luke are very talented musicians. Further, I look forward to
5SOS next projects - I am sure they won’t disappoint.
