Who has the better Top?

As you may have noticed I am a huge fan of Eurovision. But I am not alone on this. In fact, until I went to University I used to watch the show every year with my two sisters: Catarina and Raquel. Of course that, like in everything, there are distinct kinds of fans: Catarina that only watches the semi-finals and the final (because she in recent years realised that has more "interesting" things to do and has a social life), and I and Raquel who watch every top of Eurovision songs on Youtube before the show, watch the show, and after that watch after the show tops.

With that said, this year was no exception so I decided to share with you, mine and Raquel's Top 42 Eurovision 2017. Since me and my sister always have different tastes and I thought it would be interesting to see the differences in our tops, I asked her if she could do her top, and I did mine.

Overall, I get to the conclusion that I and my sister have similar tops, therefore I opt to ask her the explanation for the countries she placed with a high difference of me:

Norway - Grab the Moment, by JOWST with Aleksander Walmann is for Raquel a modern song that stands out for being different. For her, Aleksander had one of the most stunning voices of the context this year. I understand, and he truly has a pleasing voice, but I think the music is forgettable.

Finland – In my sister’s opinion Leena Tirronen, Norma John singer, sings amazingly, and Lasse Piirainen, Norma John pianist, plays magically, making the instrumental part of the song gorgeous. However, the song is boring, not captivating Raquel. On the other hand, I find it hard to forget this music, both instrumental and the singing parts, especially the lyrics since is absolutely deep.

FYR Macedonia – Raquel consider the music Dance Alone generic, by contrast for me it’s catchy and passes a good message: you don’t need anyone to have a decent time.

Ireland – In this one Raquels point of view is mine the first time I heard Dying to Try. Namely, she thinks that the song is boring and Brendan Murray’s voice is… particularly interesting. I feel that this is the type of song that you listen one time and don’t like, listen twice and you wish to listen one more time, and listen third times to reach the conclusion that after all is not that bad.
To sum up, like I said in my previous article of Eurovision (click here), 2017 had marvellous songs. Since you probably already know my opinions, I add that Raquel agrees with me in this affirmation: she fell in love with Beautiful Mess by Kristian Kostov, the Bulgarian representant and the perfect song of Origo, by Joci Pápai from Hungary. She got disappointed with City Lights by Blanche because of her monotonous performance. Finally, the United Kingdom with Lucie Jones and Never Give Up On You surprised her by the positive.

Nb: We do not own the picture above.
Who has the better Top for you? I or my sister Raquel?
Do you agree with Raquel points of view?
What is your Top of Eurovision 2017?
I hope you’re having a lovely week!
